Position Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutors to join our team. As a tutor, you will deliver online sessions tailored to each student’s needs, helping them improve their understanding and prepare for exams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans tailored to each student’s needs
  • Conduct engaging one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions online.
  • Explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Use various teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress.
  • Provide targeted instruction for GCSE and 11+ exams, including practice exams and test-taking strategies.
  • Communicate with students, parents, and guardians to discuss progress.
  • Stay updated with educational best practices and curriculum changes.
  • Log sessions and feedback in the TutorBird system and manage your availability.

Qualifications:

  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience, especially with KS2, KS3, GCSE, and 11+ exams.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum and exam requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in online teaching platforms and educational technology.
  • A degree in a relevant field is desirable but not necessary. Preference for candidates working towards a degree.

  • This position is self-employed, with tutors managing their own schedules.
  • Online tutoring sessions require a reliable internet connection and suitable workspace.
  • Payment managed through TutorBird based on logged hours/sessions.
