What our A-Level Biology tutoring covers

The curriculum for A Level Biology is demanding regardless of the exam board. Whether your child is studying AQA, OCR, or Edexcel, their A Level Biology Tutor in East London / Essex will focus on the specific assessment objectives required for top marks. We cover the core pillars of the subject including biological molecules, genetic information, and energy transfers. Beyond just learning the facts, our sessions dedicated to the required practicals ensure students understand the methodology and variables behind every experiment. Statistical analysis and mathematical requirements often cause stress, so we dedicate time to mastering the chi squared test and standard deviation. We place a heavy emphasis on exam technique and command words. This means your child learns exactly how to interpret a question to pick up the marks that many others miss. By the time Year 13 exams arrive, students feel fluent in the language of biology.

Who your tutor will be

They have sat these exact exams themselves and understand the pressure of university applications. We do not use generalists. Your child will be matched with a mentor who actually loves the subject and has the patience to explain the krebs cycle as many times as it takes for the concept to stick.
